2006-2008:
Painter, Curator and Freelance Art and Music Event Co-ordinator

- Painter and have exhibited in three group exhibitions
in Nepal and Sri Lanka and three solo in Kathmandu.
- Online group exhibition through the International
Museum of Women in San Francisco.
- Have conducted two workshops of Fun art therapy
with Orphanages in Kathmandu.
- Prepared an Art workshop with Nepali Artists for
the International Disappearance day with ICRC Kathmandu.
- Prepare and Conducted art workshop with Student
aged 6 – 11years from far west Nepal for Annual
Art Competition with World Food Programme –
UN.
- Organized fundraising painting exhibition for Kasthamandap
Art Studio in GTZ – Kathmandu –Nepal.
- Volunteering in OLPC (One Lap per Child) project
in shooting documentary film and making a song as
creative director.
- Prepare and organized ‘Living Canvas –
The Gallery without Walls’ at Kiran Bhawan and
Garden of Dreams in Kathmandu, Nepal with Seven Nepali

- Prepare and organized ‘Living Canvas –
The Gallery without Walls’ at Galle Face Hotel
23th September 2007 in Colombo Sri Lanka with Seven
Nepali artists and seven Sri Lankan artists. (for
the Celebration of 50th Anniversary of diplomat relation
between Sri Lanka and Nepal).
- Work in progress for designing an art workshop with
Nepali artists for the UNESCO Kathmandu – Nepal
for express about protecting their heritage.
- Preparing for an annual international Art Fair in
Kathmandu beginning from October 2008.
- Currently working with WHR – Women for Human
rights - widows in Nepal and seven Nepali artists
to do a painting workshop to collect funds for Widows
and speak about their life circle of being a widow.
- Designed and conducted a 4 day interactive Art Workshop
for Equal Access, an international development radio
NGO based in Nepal, Afghanistan and Cambodia.

- Suriya is a home décor shop and gallery
in Colombo which is currently expanding overseas.
- Supervised seven staff members, whilst dealing with
international corporate clients placing large orders.
- Worked with a local charity, raising money for Tsunami
widows.
- Initiated events for the gallery, organising a gala
and exhibition for opening night.

- Finomenal Space is a French art gallery/studio
specializing in indigenous painters and Sculpture,
the expatriate and the tourist markets.
- Organised national and international artists exhibitions,
including designing and making invitations and assisting
with clients, visitors and artists.
- Arranged advertising, which gave me lots of experience
dealing with the media.
- Used my contacts around the world to arrange specialist
exhibitions, for example, an exhibition of Nepali
Art.

- Buddha Gallery is an art space created by a Korean
Photographer for contemporary art in Nepal and classical
music concerts.
- Organisation of exhibitions and gallery openings.
- Liaised with many international artists and wrote
articles for artists’ catalogues, press coverage
and gallery information leaflets.
- Supervised and training two members of staff at
the gallery, as gallery administrator and Junior Curators.

- Waruna Antiques is an Antiques Shop displaying antiques,
reproductions and sale reproductions of Sri Lankan
historical crafts such as jewellery; brass, copper,
bronze objects and statues; textiles, paintings and

- Dealt with clients from all around the world and
built up good relationships, ensuring their repeated
custom.

PROJECTS
WEARABLE
ART SHOW 2006

- Developed and organised an art project with seven
young Nepali artists from Kasthamandap Art Studio
in Kathmandu. We collaboratively created sixteen different
pieces that performers displayed as living, moving
wearable art.
- A carefully chosen group of multi-cultural performers
wore the pieces of art and walked on a ramp to dramatically
choreographed and orchestrated performances according
to the piece’s genre and style, in the garden
of a royal palace at Kiran Bhawan in Kathmandu.

- Wearable Art renamed in 2007 as Living Canvas organized
in Colombo with 7 Nepali artists, 2 Nepali ethno-Techno
Musicians and 7 Sri Lankan artists, 1 Sri Lankan Musician.
- I independently organized and managed sponsorship,
media coverage and funding from all major media sources
in Sri Lanka and the BBC Sinhalese Radio – ‘Sandeshya’,
private businesses and foreign embassies

EXPERIENCE
- Active person and enjoy adventure activities such
as rafting, trekking, rock climbing; Participated
in the KIT Challenge – Adventure race 2003 in
Sri Lanka; Completed the Annapurna Poon Hill (Nepal)
(3230M) track successfully in 2006
- Have travelled around South Asia and whilst in Singapore,
I advised a friend on the opening of her own gallery.
I have enjoyed experiencing the different cultures
of Asia as well as exploring many places of interest.
- Member of “Shakespeare Walla’s”
– Theatre group in the British Embassy, Kathmandu.
Acted in the British comedy “NOISES OFF”
2006 and “Cinderella” Pantomime –
